Hi Carolyn, first time here.. I have been exercising for a long time.. so I am not in the comparison category but I just wanted to show you that you can do it.. it’s not hard at all.. it’s only a matter of finding time..

Here is my calculations..

I workout out 6 days a week, I either go before work at 6 am or after work at 3 pm to do one hour of pure cardio workout and make sure to let my heart rate between 130 max and 115 min, about 500-600 calories to burn. then come back to the gym at 9 pm and have a workout out that I tailor made for my self with a great combination between more cardio and weight lifting.. you can
check the program over here..

With this program, I let my heart rate to shoot up to 175 and not get less than 130 while on the training.. it’s a 45 minute workout with more than 1000 calories to burn, but I manage to squeeze another 15 minutes to cool down and count that towards my calorie burn but try to make my heart rate never exceeds 115

With all of this.. the calculations as forthcoming:

60 early for cardio + 60 late pm for combination workout (cardio and weights) = 120

120 minutes X 6 days a week = 720 minutes

720 a week X 4 weeks (one month) = 2,880 minutes a month

give or take working late here and there, traveling for work or pleasure, I’ll take out 120 minutes for not be able to work out one day a month..

I’d say I work 2,760 minutes a month.. I think 1200 is doable big time..

Good luck.. :)

Hey Donna, for sure you can link to me on your blog..I'd be flattered :)

Thanks Megan...it was you who inspired me to do the challenge, so even if you don't quite get to your goal, you should know that you motivated me to get my butt in gear, and that should be worth something;)
